This wall hanging is titled "The Hundred Dresses." I made it after reading the book, The Hundred Dresses by Eleanor Estes. I loved the book and wanted to do something to encourage people to read the book. Here is what I thought of. I have it hanging in my office at work and have actually had people read the book after seeing this. Yeah!
Anyway, to make this I used only scrapes that I had. I didn't buy any new material for this one. I cut out dress after dress until I finally had a hundred of them. Then a friend and I embellished the dresses with ribbon. I quilted this wall hanging on my regular sewing machine (I don't think I will do that again). I do love it though! And I hope if nothing else it will inspire you to go read the book!
